No other food and drink pairing has stood the test of time like a juicy, succulent steak and a dark, rich red wine. So naturally we jumped at the opportunity to be involved with Three Wine Men’s Great Steak Night In.

Three Wine Men was set up by three friends who simply love wine – sounds good to us. The TV personalities, Oz Clarke, Tim Atkin MW and Olly Smith, wanted to share their passion for wine, taking their tasting sessions on the road for audiences to enjoy. Whilst the current pandemic has put a metaphorical stopper in meet-them-in-the-flesh events, Three Wine Men are not letting this stop them from doing what they love: drinking the best wines the world has to offer.
Oz’ Great Steak Night In
Oz’ Great Steak Night In will see yet another event turn to video call giants Zoom, with viewers able to enjoy Oz Clarke in conversation with Bodega Argento’s Chief winemaker Juan Pablo Murgia and our very own founder Mark Bury. Oz knows his stuff when it comes to this perfect pairing, becoming Britain’s most popular wine writer following the success of his best-selling, award-winning books about – you guessed it – wine. He is also well known for his popular TV shows ‘Oz & James Drink to Britain’ and ‘Oz and James’s Big Wine Adventure’ alongside Top Gear’s James May.
The virtual event, hosted on the 26th November, presents Bodega Argento’s new range of organic and Fairtrade Malbec Argentina Wine. Malbec is Argentina’s best and most popular grape variety, producing wine that is deep and rich in flavour, the ideal companion for a high range steak.
The wine range, named Artesano de Argento, is made with organic grapes grown in Bodega Argento’s vineyard in Argentina and is focused on the artisan traditions of Argentina. The respect for craftmanship, heritage and the land shown by Bodega is something we can get behind here at Eversfield Organic. Oz’ chat with Juan and Mark will cover topic such as quality organic farming and winemaking, family and homemade recipes plus classic food and wine matches such as organic steak and Malbec.
Our 100% grass-fed Sirloin Steaks are hand butchered by traditionally trained butchers here on our Devonshire farm, along with a wide selection of grass-fed meat. The Taste of the West award-winning steaks are cut with a flavoursome outer layer of fat, made even better by minimum 28 days dry aging – a classic choice for a steak dinner with a delicious glass of red.
